About Support & Housing - Halton
• The agency was incorporated as Oakville Re-Entry Homes in 1982
• Support & Housing – Halton is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors
• The agency provides services throughout the Region of Halton
• In 2001, the agency became a partner in the Halton Homes Program (part of the Homelessness Initiative)
• In September of 2003, the organization changed its name to Support & Housing – Halton to better reflect the scope of its services and geographic boundaries.
• The agency is funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, United Way of Oakville, United Way of Milton, United Way of Halton Hills, Supportive Communities Partnership Initiative (SCPI), local Service Clubs and donations from individuals.
